Our mind is like a garden. If tended to, we can harvest the beautiful plants and flowers that we planted. However, if it goes untended, it will be over run with weeds. Weeds choke out the plants and flowers that we want to grow and flourish.
Mindfulness is the practice of observing one’s thoughts and weeding out or canceling out those that counter growth, health, wellness and prosperity. It is the practice of living in the moment and not allowing your mind to wander aimlessly in the desert.
One great way to do this is by saying thank you to all that is good in your life. To give notice to the grace all around you. The rain, the trees, flowers, air, smiles from others, your successes, your gifts and talents. In fact, this practice alone will help you to create more of what you want in your life.
In so doing, you become aware of how what you think about is what you bring about. Your thoughts truly do create your reality.
